This weekend was supposed to be the last nice weekend of summer in Vancouver. I wanted to get a couple shots with the sun in the sky before it went away for a while. I went to a favorite spot just south of the downtown core and I love what I got. This is 3 photos stitched together in Photoshop.

I love architecture. I also love old things. I guess that’s why I love old buildings and bridges. Pretty simple I guess. I used to think that Vancouver’s history wasn’t too old until I found that we now know that aboriginals have been in North America for at least 15,000 years. Its hard to remember that when the oldest building in Vancouver was built in the mid 1800’s. For us that is very old. The Lions Gate Bridge was built in the late 1930’s. It was built by the Guiness family of Dublin Ireland. Yes, the beer family. Not sure if that is the reason for it being green but I’d like to think so. I have taken many photographs of this bridge in the last 5 years. Here are some of my favorites.
